Polish Painters have been painting and decorating homes across the South East since 2006 — 20 years this year. We are based in Ferrybank and work across Waterford city and county, South Kilkenny and the wider South East, from a single room to a full exterior. We listen first, then advise on colours, finishes and the most economical way to get the result you want, and we put every price in writing before we start.

How we price a painting job in Waterford
We don’t publish a price list, and we’d be wary of anyone who does: two rooms of the same size can differ by a day’s work once you look at the walls. Instead, we visit, measure and check the surfaces, then send a fixed written quote within 48 hours — usually the next day. The price covers preparation, two coats and daily clean-up, and it does not change once we start.
What changes the price
- Condition of the surfaces — filling, sanding, stain-blocking and any repairs to plaster or render.
- Scope — walls only, or ceilings, skirting, doors and windows too; wallpaper hanging; masonry and fascia outside.
- Access — stairwells, high ceilings, and whether an exterior needs a tower or scaffold.
Common questions
How much does it cost to paint a 3-bed house in Waterford?
It depends on the condition of the walls, whether ceilings and woodwork are included, and how much furniture we work around — which is why we don’t quote from a price list. We visit, measure and send a fixed written price within 48 hours, usually the next day. The quote is free and there is no obligation.
Do you charge a day rate?
No — we quote per job, so you know the total before we start and it doesn’t change if a wall needs more filling than expected. As a guide, a two-person crew finishes a standard room in a day, including prep and two coats.
Can you paint exteriors in autumn and winter?
Yes, on dry days above 5 °C. We check the forecast and the moisture in the render before starting, and use masonry paints made for Irish weather. Most exterior work runs from March to October; in winter we book sheltered elevations and woodwork.
Do you supply the paint?
We can. We work mainly with Dulux Trade, Fleetwood and Colourtrend and pass on our trade prices. If you have already bought paint, we will use it.
Do we need to move out or move furniture?
No. We move and cover furniture, sheet the floors and clean up each day. Most families stay at home while we work room by room.

We are based in Ferrybank, on the Waterford–Kilkenny border, and cover homes and businesses within about 80 km: Waterford city, Tramore, Dunmore East, Dungarvan, Kilmacthomas, Portlaw and Lismore in Co. Waterford; Kilkenny, Mooncoin, Mullinavat and Thomastown in Co. Kilkenny; Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel in Co. Tipperary; New Ross and Wexford town in Co. Wexford. If your town isn’t listed, ask — we travel for larger jobs.

Ozone Cleaning
Ozone treatment after painting. Once the paint is dry we can ozone-treat the rooms to remove smoke, pet and damp odours. It is a popular add-on for rental turnarounds and for homes going on the market. No other painting firm in the South East offers it, so just ask for it when you request your quote.
